Hafeez, Charles, Sarfaraz among 13 ICA Stars who featured in PSL 2023:
International Cricketers Association is glad to reveal its tremendous progress in the earlier phase of 2023. Since the start of the year, ICA’s players have been picked in multiple T20 leagues around the world, and one such league is the Pakistan Super League.
The 2023 edition of Pakistan Super League began in February 2023 and the matches were played in 4 major cities of Pakistan. 13 players of ICA featured in the Pakistan Super League. These included the retained stars as well as some of the new deals that were closed out by the ICA, like Johnson Charles in Multan Sultans, Mohammad Hafeez in Quetta Gladiators, Arafat Minhas in Multan Sultans and many others.
James Fuller, Naseem Shah, Johnson Charles, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Hafeez, Usama Mir, Rumman Raees, Arafat Minhas, Danish Aziz, Zeeshan Zameer, Hassan Nawaz, Aamer Jamal and Umar Akmal were the stars from the International Cricketers Association to feature in the PSL.
If we review the performance of these stars, Umar Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez did a brilliant job for the Gladiators in this season. Akmal played the finisher role brilliantly with an average of 23 and strike rate of 186 with the bat. The veteran Mohammad Hafeez averaged 27 with the bat at a strike rate of 150 in the event. Usama Mir was amongst the top wicket takers, and his performance earned him his maiden national T20I team call-up. Aamer Jamal was brilliant with both bat and ball for his side. Rumman Raees showed excellent death bowling skill.
All in all, the start of 2023 has been quite brilliant for the International Cricketers Association with respect to the PSL. Chairman of the ICA, Moghees Sheikh expressed his extreme delight over these phenomenal performances and more importantly, he was glad over the fact that youngsters like Arafat Minhas, Hassan Nawaz, Zeeshan Zameer and Danish Aziz got great deals with ICA’s assistance as they are indeed the future of Pakistan Cricket.
