London: Pakistan’s Test specialist new ball bowler Mohammad Abbas has been signed up by International Cricketers Association (ICA) as one of its new signings.
Abbas will now be represented by ICA in all his professional engagements. This means ICA will create opportunities for him with regards to his playing engagements and commercial endorsements, apart from speaking engagements and other appearances.
ICA was founded by Mr Moghees Ahmed who has been an experienced sports marketing professional who has created value for all his clients. Whether it is managing, maximising opportunities and creating opportunities for the players on the ICA roster or if it is about providing maximum value for the commercial partners, Mr Ahmed’s experience has also proved invaluable.
The ICA’s roster includes amongst others Pakistan’s current head coach and chief selector, Misbah-ul-Haq, former Pakistan T20 captain Mohammed Hafeez, former off-spinner Saeed Ajmal and a whole host of other stars.
Abbas is a steady right-arm seamer who can bottle up an end at will in long-format cricket. Abbas has been a recent addition to the Pakistan set-up. He has featured in 21 Tests and three ODIs thus far.
“I have known Mo Bhai for a long time. He has been a successful self-made entrepreneur who will do a great job in managing my profile. It will be a great pleasure indeed to rub shoulders with the best in the business,” revealed the 30-year-old Abbas.
On his part Mr Ahmed welcomed Abbas to the ICA family and assured him complete support.
“We are glad to have Abbas on board our family. He is on point all the time. We promise him similar accurate support in all his endeavours. He can be rest assured that while he performs on the field, we will take care of everything else,” said Mr Ahmed.
