Aamir Sohail

Aamir Sohail

Aamer Sohail opened the batting for Pakistan in the 1990s. A stylish left-hander and occasional left-arm spinner, he played 47 Tests and was a member of the victorious Pakistan team which won the 1992 World Cup in Australia.

Since retirement in the early 2000s, he has seen service as both Pakistan Cricket’s chief selector and as a perceptive commentator on TV and radio. He still keeps his eye in by playing the odd exhibition match.
