Cricket Operations Manager

The International Cricketers’ Association (ICA), a company founded in 2014 to maximise the opportunities for talented cricketers, is seeking to employ a former professional cricketer to help fulfil its potential across a broad range of ambitions.

Although principally a vehicle for helping international players find outlets for their talents in county cricket and T20 franchises, the ICA also seeks to nurture grass roots cricket through our coaching masterclasses and exhibition matches through its team, the International Cricketers’ XI

In that regard, a good understanding of cricket and cricketers is essential though prospective candidates will need to be true all-rounders with a wide range of skills in order to deal with the following remit:

To communicate with equipment manufacturers and other product suppliers needed by the players, setting up sponsorship opportunities where necessary
Ability to read and process contracts

To help organise ICA’s fixture list and fulfil its philosophy, which includes games, coaching sessions, media work and dinners. Goals include:
- for the ICA XI to play exhibition T20 matches
- to find employment for players on the ICA roster with English first-class counties
- to succeed in getting players signed by T20 franchises in the CPL, BPL, IPL, PSL and Big Bash
- to run and manage cricket coaching tours to Dubai - Dubai’s National Cricket Academy

Prospective candidates need to be able to suggest and recruit new county cricketers from the UK;
They must also be able to build strong contacts with clubs at both county and recreational level;
Organise coaching sessions for ICA’s roster of players with schools, colleges and academies to set up at least 1 coaching/master class session every month;
They must be confident of turning inquiries into deals;

Able to travel within the UK and outside it, so must have valid passport and driving licence;
Must possess good communication skills and have a working knowledge of social media;
Must be creative and able to work with website designer in expanding and updating ICA’s online presence;

Build press relations with media organisations especially TV, radio and newspapers;
Must be willing to respond to tasks even if they fall outside traditional working hours;
They need to be able to work on their own, be self-motivated and have good organisational skills;
And they must be a good team player, willing to share workloads with other ICA employees;
