ICA Academy - Midlands Trials

The International Cricketers Association is pleased to report the success of its Academy ‘Talent Hunt’ held at Trent Bridge on 28 January.
With former England player, Phil Mustard, and Leicestershire’s Carl Crowe dispensing tips and pearls of wisdom, over 25 young cricketers turned up for the two-hour session.
As a result, five cricketers were short-listed to attend further trials while two, Hishaam Khan and Ahmed Zazai, both teenage left-arm pace bowlers, were so impressive they were asked to attend Leicestershire’s first XI net practice.
ICA’s philosophy is to promote cricket and cricketers with special attention paid to the grass roots. As Hishaam Khan’s progress from Academy trial to Leicestershire’s nets in the space of seven days, reveals, it is not an idle promise.
